Quetta Experiences Its First Snowfall Of 2023 | Quetta weather snowfall

 

Quetta: On Wednesday, several parts of Baluchistan including the capital, Quetta, received their first spell of rainfall of 2023.

The snowfall occurred in cities including Ziarat, Muslim Bagh, Qila Abdullah, and Kan Mehtarzai.

The traffic flow suffered heavily in Mehtarzai, including roads that lead to some other northern areas of the province.

Rain shortly followed after some snowfall in Quetta city, with continued snowfall at some intervals. hilly areas including the hilltops were snow-capped, resulting in mesmerizing scenery of the landscape.

While snowfall continued, the Government organization, PDMA started operations to remove snow from roads to ensure the traffic flow was not affected.

According to the forecast by the Metrological Department, even more snowfall in the next 24 hours is expected on the hilly terrains of the province.

Moreover, RMC Quetta alerted people saying " The snow might result in the closure of roads and traffic in some parts of the northern province. all authorities are therefore requested to remain on high alert amid the recent weather".
